6th Spanish Cup in a row

FC Barcelona handball lifted their sixth consecutive Spanish Cup, after winning the final against Balonmano Ciudad Encantada by 34-18. And with Gonzalo Pérez de Vargas as a Most Valuable Player.

After winning the Spanish Super Cup, the Catalonia Supercup, the Asobal Cup and the Asobal League, Pérez de Vargas’s team won the Spanish Cup. The ‘blues-and-reds’ beat BM Ángel Ximénez (39-21) in quarterfinals on Friday, continued their way doing the same in the semifinals against BM Logroño (28-24) on Saturday and they sealed the title winning the final against the Cuenca team.

Now, it's time to focus on Europe, where Barça Lassa dream to get the EHF Champions League. The team will face HBC Nantes for a ticket in the Final Four. The first leg will be played in France on April 24 (8.45 p.m.) and the second leg in Barcelona on May 4 (7.45 p.m.).
