Girona FC is ready to kick-off a season that will go down in the history books for being their first ever season playing in Spanish football’s top league.
The Sports department of the Catalan club is already working hard to compete in one of the best leagues in the world and after signing Gorka Iraizoz and Bernardo Espinosa, the latest player to Girona FC is José Aurelio Suárez.
The goalkeeper comes from FC Barcelona B and will be the Catalan team’s third goalkeeper. Girona FC’s primary intention is that the Asturian goalkeeper will train with the first team, but play with the 2nd B Division team, Peralada.
Suárez will occupy the place left by René Roman after his signing for Almería. The Andalusian says goodbye to Girona FC, after joining the club a year ago from the UE Llagostera and after defending the goal on 21 occasions last season.
