Sergio Gómez, who was chosen as the runner-up in the U-17 World Cup Best Player, took place in India, took time out of his busy schedule to visit the Media Base Sports offices in Barcelona to share his unforgettable experience in the tournament.
The offensive midfielder wanted to share the Silver Ball trophy and his two medals with the Media Base Sports family; Gold won in the European Championship and Silver which he won in the World Cup. Prior to this, he had already expressed his gratitude to his national team-mates for the individual prize.
Sergio was a key player in Santi Denia's team. As a permanent member in the starting eleven, he scored several important goals, such as the spectacular left-footed shot from outside the box against Iran and the two goals in the final against England, as well as providing some brilliant assists, not to mention his outstanding leadership qualities.
After a three-day break, Sergio Gómez will return to training with FC Barcelona Youth Team to get ready for the next two tough challenges, Spanish League and Youth League.
