Real Madrid and Real Oviedo reached an agreement for the loan of Ismael Armenteros until the end of the season. ‘La Fábrica’ centre-back broke his contract with CD Badajoz, his team since last August, to sign for Oviedo Vetusta until June 2021.
Armenteros joins the Asturian club to be part of the second team until the end of the season in order to add minutes in Spanish bronze category, something that he has not been able to achieve in this first part of the season in Badajoz. Ismael will reinforce the center of the defence, but it should be remembered that his qualities also allow him to perform as a left-back or centre midfielder.
Armenteros was formed in Real Madrid Academy, passing through all the categories from U-9 to U-19. His leadership and discipline have always made him the owner of the captain's armband and also his potential and excellent characteristics have let him to be Spanish international in U-17, U-18 and U-19 categories. In his first season away from Madrid he wants to continue growing in order to fulfil the dream for which he always worked: the professional football.
