Girona FC continues to shape the squad to return to First Division as soon as possible. The team has signed Jordi Calavera until 2022, as the second reinforcement of the season.
The Catalan right-back, who was already on loan to Girona FC last year, arrives free after ending his contract with SD Éibar. His qualities have convinced Girona sports director to take over his services and give him a two-season contract plus an optional one.
Two injuries have prevented him from playing more than fifteen games last season, but when he played he completed great performances. That is why Francisco was grateful for and he wanted to have Calavera on his team.
Jordi already showed to be a differential player in the category in his previous stages with CD Lugo and Sporting de Gijón, something that led him to make the jump to First Division. At just 25 years old, he has played more than 100 professional football matches and hopes to be a key player in this new and ambitious project for Girona FC.
