Girona FC player Jordi Calavera has become a centennial player in 2nd Division A, after playing 100 games in the category.
Calavera has reached the mentioned figure in one of the best moments of his career since he is currently a key player in Francisco's team. The Catalan is the only player on the team together with Bernardo Espinosa who has played all minutes in the first eight league games.
Jordi made his debut in 2nd Division A on September 29, 2015 with Gimnàstic de Tarragona, where he played his first nine games in the category and was the team that opened the doors to professional football. His excellent performance at the Nou Estadi aroused the interest of SD Eibar, a 1st Division club to which he has belonged for four years.
In the first two years, he was loaned to CD Lugo and Sporting de Gijón of 2nd Division A. In both teams he was indisputable on the right side and this allowed him to wear the shirt of the Galician team for 40 games and 33 for the Asturian team.
After a season marked by injuries in the Basque Country team, last year Jordi decided to go back on loan to LaLiga SmartBank and Girona was the team that took over his services. He played a total of 10 games, but these were enough to convince the Catalan team to extend their relationship and signed him until 2022.
The eight matches played this year have allowed him to add 100 games and everything indicates that it will be an easy mark to move up in the category.
