Covid-19 stops sport

The Coronavirus pandemic is affecting sports around the globe. The virus outbreak has forced to cancel games and also seasons.

In Spain, LFP (Professional Football League) has suspended the two spanish professional championship, LaLiga Santander (First Division) and LaLiga SmartBank (Second Division). And RFEF (Spanish Federation) has also suspended all amateur, youth and kids tournaments.

All matches in UEFA competitions, including Champions League and Europa League, have also been suspended, after the positive for Covid-19 of some important players and coaches like Rugani (Juventus), Arteta (Arsenal), Hudson-Odoi (Chelsea) and six members of Sampdoria.

The list of competitions stopped is big. For example, the NBA has decided to stop until further notice after two players, Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell, of Utah Jazz, tested positive. The Spanish League and the Euroleague has been also suspended.

Handball (Viran Morros and Gonzalo Pérez de Vargas), Tennis (Carla Suarez), Paddle (Fernando Belasteguin) and Athletics (Judith Corachan and Alex Roca) has also stopped all their competitions.

Moreover, 2020 Olympic Games, due to take place this summer in Tokyo (Japan), have been postponed until next year.
