Spanish National Handball Team successfully defended their European title and achived the second in a row after beating Croatia in the 2020 EHF Euro final (22-20), that took place in Stockholm (Sweden).
Spain completed an outstanding tournament, winning eight games and conceding only one draw.
Gonzalo Pérez de Vargas, elected Best Goalkeeper of the tournament, became a key player in the victory over Croatia because he went into the court with a three-goals disadvantage and led his team in the comeback. Viran Morros was also an important player, leading the defensive line.
The European title has another prize for the Hispanos, already qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
