Girona CF and Eusebio Sacristán have reached an agreement and the ex-Real Sociedad coach will be the new coach of the first team for the next two seasons.
The Valladolid’s coach drew a brilliant career as a footballer after playing 19 years in the First Division, he won the Champions League with the Dream Team and became in the third player with more official games in the league, only surpassed by Zubizarreta and Raúl.
His stage in the bench began as part of Frank Rijkaard's coaching staff during 2003 and 2008. As the first coach, he started at Celta de Vigo in 2ªA and after he trained the FC Barcelona second team during four years. In November 2015 he was chosen to lead the Real Sociedad, where he has been the last three seasons.
