Girona FC got a well-deserved point at Balaidos in a tough game against Celta with six goals and non-stop excitement for the whole ninety minutes.
In a thriling start of the game, the scoreboard read 2-2 after the goals scored by Pione Sisto (8') and Maxi Gómez (16') for the local team and Portu (10') and Stuani (15') for the visitors.
Both teams improved defensively and the number of chances on goal reduced. Wass (76') scored Celta's third goal with a powerful and well-placed shot but with only four minutes to play Juanpe got the equalizer.
Pablo Machin's team on the day was made up of Gorka Iraizoz; Alcalá, Bernardo, Juanpe; Maffeo, Pere Pons, Aleix Garcia (Douglas Luiz, 83'), Mojica; Portu, Stuani (Kayode, 68') and Borja (Olunga, 74').
Next Girona's game will see them face Villarreal at Montilivi on October 15th (16.15 h.)
