Puma, the sportswear multinational, has just announced their partnership with Pep Guardiola, who signed the agreement accompanied by his agent Pere Guardiola, Media Base Sports director. “I’m delighted to join the Puma brand, like my friend Johan Cruyff, the most influential person in my career. I’m proud to follow in his footsteps”, the coach said.
To announce and celebrate the agreement, Puma has put up a huge canvas with the picture of Pep Guardiola and the logo of the company in the streets of Manchester. “We are delighted to partner with Pep. First as a player and now as a manager, he has demonstrated immense footballing intelligence and work ethic, combined with a relentless drive for improvement and learning,” said Johan Adamsson, Director of Sports Marketing & Sports Licensing at Puma. “Pep’s principles and passion for the game are perfectly aligned with our vision for Puma Football”.
Pep will train with Puma boots and will wear Puma products both on and off-pitch. “I demand the highest levels of performance, and I am looking forward to helping shape the future of Puma Football to meet the demands of today’s game”, explained the coach.
Guardiola joins other stars who already wear Puma like his City players Sergio Aguero and David Silva and other big talents like Antoine Griezmann, Gianluigi Buffon, Jan Oblak, Romelu Lukaku, Marco Reus, Luis Suarez, Olivier Giroud and Samuel Umtiti.
