Manchester City and Pep Guardiola have reached an agreement to extend his contract until 2023.
The Catalan coach renews his agreement with the 'citizens' and will continue to be linked to the Mancunian entity for two more years. Pep landed in England in 2016 and the current season is his fifth year at Manchester City.
Pep has won a total of eight titles: two Premier League, one FA Cup, two Commnunity Shield and three Carabao Cup. Trophies that together with those obtained in Munich and Barcelona place him as the third coach with the most titles (29) in the history of professional football behind Alex Ferguson (49) and Mircea Lucescu (33).
And there are also several records that he has achieved. 2017-18 was the best season in the Club's history after winning the Premier League with 100 points. And in 2018-19, Manchester City became the first team to win the national honors: Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup and Community Shield.
After signing, Pep assured that “I have always felt very welcome at the club and in the city. Since then we have achieved a lot together, we have scored goals, we have won games and titles, and we are all very proud of that success. And there is no doubt that many more will come”. The journey continues.
