Goalkeeper Sergi Puig, who ended his contract with FC Barcelona last June, has become a new UD Las Palmas player until 2021.
Puig signed with the Canarian second team for a season, with the option of extending their agreement for three more years as a member of the first team.
The Catalan keeper has joined this project in order to continue progressing as a football player, helping the team to get a place in the future Second Division B Pro, which will be established in Spanish football in the 21/22 season, and accomplish the goal to play at the first team next year.
Sergi has landed on Canary Islands after 7 years at FC Barcelona. He has got a promotion to 2nd Division A in his record with the culé team in 2017 and the dispute of a UEFA Youth League semi-finals with U-19 team. Before staying permanently to Barça B, he was on loan to UB Conquense one season in order to add experience and minutes in semi-professional football.
