Girona FC had an excellent game against Sevilla FC, but came head-to-head with a stellar Sergio Rico who thwarted the Catalan team's goal on multiple occasions.
In the first half, Pablo Machín’s team was better and they had three chances, one of which was from the penalty spot, to score the first goal. However, Sergio Rico was excellent and stopped the penalty shot from Aday holding the game to a goalless draw at half-time.
In the second half, Sevilla FC scored the first goal just one minute after the start of the second half. Sarabia, the goalscorer, tapped Correa's over the goal line. But as the game progressed, Girona fought back and once again created several chances to tie the match. Sergio Rico, MVP of the match, once again prevented Girona from leaving the Sánchez Pizjuán with the reward they deserved.
The next match of Pablo Machín's team will be against CD Leganés next Friday, February 16 in Montilivi.
