FC Barcelona handball has won the League Champion, after the Spanish Handball Federation (RFEB) ended the competition due to the consequences of Covid-19.
Xavi Pascual’s team was playing an flawless championship and had added a total of 19 wins in 19 matches. The ‘azulgranas’ were leaders with 38 points, five ahead of Ademar de León, who has ended the league with 33 points.
This is the 10th consecutive league won by FC Barcelona and the sixth for the Toledo goalkeeper Gonzalo Pérez de Vargas since he arrived in 2014. The Liga Asobal is the sixth title of the season that the Catalans have won, after having conquered the Catalonian Super Cup, the Super Globe, the Spanish Super Cup, the Asobal Cup and the King's Cup.
