The bad streak comes to an end

The bad streak comes to an end. After three consecutive defeats against Cádiz, Oviedo and Rayo Vallecano, Girona came back to the route to victory with an important win in Soria over Numancia (0-2).

The visitor team domitad the game from the first minute but they only could move their superiority to the scoreboard in the second half with two golas of the defender Alcalá.

Pablo Machin line-up was formed by Bounou; Kiko Olivas, Alcalá, Juanpe; Pablo Maffeo, Granell (Eloi, 46'), Pere Pons, Aday (Sebas Coris, 81'); Borja García, Portu and Fran Sandaza (Cristian Herrera, 70').

Girona remains in the second place of the table with 61 points, but increases the difference over the third, Tenerife, to eight points. Curiously, next League game will see Girona face Tenerife at Heliodoro Rodriguez this coming Saturday (18 h.).
