U-19 Real Madrid CF team have made history after lifting their first UEFA Youth League, the most prestigious U-19 European tournament.
Raúl González Blanco’s team has completed an excellent final phase held in Nyon with an outstanding victory in the final against SL Benfica (3-2). But this was the end of a journey that began with the win against Juventus FC by 1-3 in the Round of 16; continued with the victory by 0-3 against Inter in the Quarterfinals; and the ticket to the final was printed when they beat RB Salzburg 1-2 in the semi-finals.
A historical page for Real Madrid Academy with three names to remain: Álvaro Carrillo, Óscar Aranda and Peter Federico. Three MBS Players who Raúl knows well, and despite being U-18 players born in 2002, have been called up to play this Final Phase playing a fundamental role.
This success is also a great prize for Media Base Sports Agency since it is the third consecutive UEFA Youth League title we have held. In 2018, it was FC Barcelona with Monchu Rodríguez; in 2019, it was conquered by FC Porto with Diogo Costa, Tiago Matos and Gonçalo Borges; and this year it has been Real Madrid of Carrillo, Peter and Aranda who have had the privilege to lift the continental trophy.
