Álvaro De Grado Pajares
FOOTBALL DIVISION (UK)
I was born in Madrid a quarter of a century ago on August 14, 1991. From a very young age, it became clear to me that my life would revolve around football, the arts and literature.
I graduated with a Degree in Journalism from the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid and since August, 2013 I have been living in Manchester, traditionally one of the world’s footballing capitals, and even more so now that Pep Guardiola has arrived.
For the past few years, and still to this day, I have been acting as the English correspondent for the daily sports newspaper Marca and the Cadena Ser and last summer, I was presented with the amazing opportunity to join the team at Media Base Sports.
Apart from my two footballing idols, Zinedine Zidane and Steven Gerrard, I have a third idol although this one is musical, Bruce Springsteen. The last time I saw him live was at the Man City home ground of Etihad Stadium.
