iQiyi Sports, PP Sports and Tencent acquire the non-exclusive digital streaming rights to the Champions League in China for the 21-22 season.
They will also have access to UEFA's other club competitions, such as the Europa League and the European Super Cup, recently won by Chelsea.
iQiyi Sports is a joint venture launched in 2018 by sports media and marketing agency Super Sports Media, owned by sports and entertainment investor DDMC Group. It also owns the rights to LaLiga and the Asian Football Confederation, as well as broadcasting Euro2020.
With this deal, iQiyi adds another service to its football offering in China. Last month, it already made official its agreement to become the exclusive digital broadcast partner of the Premier League in China until the 24-25 season. The deal covers the rights to all matches in multiple languages for subscribers.
