The first round came to an end and in the last game Girona managed an important and superb win at Montilivi against bottom of the table, Las Palmas (6-0).
Pablo Machin's team was better from the starting whistle and Stuani gave the lead to the local team converting a penalty comitted by Javi Castellano on Portu (25').
Girona completed an outstanding second half and in 25 minutes Olunga (57', 70' and 79'), Borja García (63') and Portu (75') sealed the comfortable win. Olunga became the first player to score a 'hat-trick' with Girona in the First Division.
Girona's line-up was Bono; Ramalho, Bernardo, Juanpe; Aday, Granell, Pere Pons (Aleix García, 77'), Mojica; Portu (Douglas Luiz, 76'), Borja García and Stuani (Olunga, 46).
The 'red-and-whites' reached the halfway point of the Liga Santander in a comfortable position in the table and they will begin the second round with two away games against Atletico and Malaga.
